Introduction to IOT

IOT stands for Internet of things
It is a platform where regular devices are connected to each other.
The IOT is the extension of internet connectivity with physical devices.

In other words we can say that the term IoT, or Internet of Things, refers to the collective network of connected devices and the technology that facilitates communication between devices and the cloud, as well as between the devices themselves.
IOT is a network to devices which can sense, accumulate and transfer data over the internet without any human intervention.

The Internet of things (IoT) describes devices with sensors, processing ability, software and other technologies that connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the  or other internet communications network.
The term IOT was first introduce by Kevin Ashton in 1999.

The Internet of Things integrates everyday “things” with the internet.

Computer Engineers have been adding sensors and processors to everyday objects since the 90s
