A machine is something that helps us do work by either making it easier or changing the way force is applied. It makes tasks quicker and more accurate.
How Machines Work
Machines allow us to do work in one place and move it to another to finish a task faster. For example, a jack lifts up a bus or car, and pulleys help lift heavy objects.
In all these cases, the force needed is much less than the weight being lifted. This means machines make the force we apply stronger, helping us do more with less effort.
Types of Machines
There are two main types of machines:
- Manual Machines: These are operated by hand, like hand-fans or bicycles.
- Electronic Machines: These run on electricity, such as TVs, fridges, and air conditioners.
Machines make our lives easier by doing tasks quickly and accurately, whether we’re using our hands or relying on electricity.
